Team Matt’s Fantastic Success at Scope Festival 2017!

On Tuesday, I headed off to Scope with Team Matt where we competed over two days – it was a fantastic start to our practice jumping success as we both rode such a lovely 80cm round and it was a brilliant clear round to jump together. We also just had an opportunity to try and jump the height of 90cm which went well and felt like such a fantastic achievement, even if we did knock two poles down. It was such a very brave moment as both Womble and I were really confident to do this. With practice rounds completed, it was time to see if we could keep our winning streak from last Sunday at Doncaster…

On day two of Scope Festival the real competition began in the Championship Arena where the Para Showjumping classes took place in front of speculators – We both focused on our warm up to get ready for our round during the Grade ll Class – we both rode such a impressive round together and scored a fantastic DOUBLE Clear Round with the time of 34:80 seconds which was confirmed by the judge – it was very close to win the class unbelievably as we both came second place officially!

“I’m so super pleased with how we both rode over two days and how we made such a great team!” – Said Matthew
